About Greg Hyer:
Greg Hyer is the co-owner of Linking into Sales. In 2009, Greg met Martin Brossman and discovered they shared a similar vision for how sales professionals could use social media platforms to support their sales activities. So they teamed up to create an organization that helps sales professionals develop their social selling skills through online and classroom training, workshops and 1-on-1 coaching.
Greg’s experience in sales and digital marketing in the retail, ecommerce and software-as-a-service (SaaS) industries has led him to discover his passion for social selling. The rapid adoption of social media platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Google+, Greg saw the opportunity for sales professionals stand out among their peers and to create deeper, smarter relationships with prospects and customers. By combining selling skills with digital marketing strategy and techniques, a sales professional can become a trusted advisor that helps the buyer navigate the buyer’s journey and enables them to make a buying decision.
In 2010, Greg and Martin co-authored and self-published “Linking Into Sales - Using LinkedIn to Support the Sales Cycle”. The book was designed to walk a sales professional through the steps of creating a LinkedIn profile to establishing a social selling routine. Since then, Greg and Martin, have produced the Linking into Sales Social Selling Podcast. They discuss social selling strategies and tactics as well as new sales apps and platforms. The podcast is free and available on iTunes, Stitcher Radio, YouTube and here on Linking Into Sales.
Greg is the owner of Hyer, an organization that provides training and coaching for sales and marketing professionals. He works with individuals and teams to develop their skills in social selling and digital marketing. He feels that these two skills are closely related and required to succeed  in today’s business climate.
