LinkedIn Removes, then Reenables Connection Exporting - Ep. 068
In this episode of the Linking into Sales Social Selling Podcast, Greg Hyer and Martin Brossman discuss the latest gaff by LinkedIn and what this means for users. LinkedIn quietly removed the ability for users to export their connections, including email addresses. Instead, users were told they would have to put in a request to get their data and wait up to 72 hours for an export. There was instant backlash and the next day, LinkedIn reenabled the feature. You can read more about this on VentureBeat.com: “LinkedIn quietly removes tool to export contacts, makes users wait up to 72 hours for their data archive.”
Greg walks you through how to export your connections. You can see his full tutorial on YouTube: “How to Export your Contacts and Email Addresses from LinkedIn.”
Martin talks about his favorite app, Pocket. Pocket is a bookmarking tool that makes it very easy to save links to online content and access it from your phone, tablet or another computer. He mentions a new feature that Pocket introduced, narration. Now, Pocket will read you the article that you’ve saved, making it easier to consume content on the road.
